Indian dies of heart failure in Dambulla

An Indian Buddhist pilgrim who visited Sri Lanka with a group of devotees, died following a heart failure before admission to the Dambulla base hospital. He was identified as Uddahu Chandra Bahisare, 61, a retired surveyor and a resident of Luxminagar, Maharastra.

The deceased's wife Shanthi Uddahu Bahisare gave evidence at the inquest held at Dambulla base hospital by Dambulla coroner H M T B Koswatta. Matale base hospital JMO Ajith Jayasena performed the autopsy.

The coroner recorded a verdict of death. Dambulla police led evidence.
