C’wealth delegates meet Speaker

A parliamentary delegation from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, UK Branch met Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa at the Parliamentary Complex yesterday. The group consisted of 11 delegates headed by Paul Murphy, MP.

Issues related to the development activities in the North and East were discussed at this meeting.

The delegation will also visit the Manik farm IDP centre and Trincomalee during their six day visit.

The delegation has also called on several ministers during their stay in the country. They will leave Sri Lanka on October 23.
