Ape Lokaya launched
The third volume of Ape Lokaya (our world), a children’s magazine saw
the light of the day on October 1 which was International Children’s
Day. Compared with the previous volumes, the current volume shows a
great improvement as it includes 40 pages, out of which two pages are
set in colour.
The
significance of this magazine is marked with the inclusion of 107
articles, poems and so on. The interview with Rathna Sri Wijesinghe
published in the magazine speaks the potential of the magazine to go
ahead in volumes.
The creations for the magazine are contributed by children from all
parts of the country.
The principle objective of this magazine is to invite the intuition
of children to try their hands at writing which will enable them to
acquire the calibre of a successful writer in future life.
The magazine is distributed free of charge and is published twice a
year.
