Sachithra 6 for 32

Leg spinner Sachithra Perera returned excellent figures of six wickets for 32 as Ananda College dismissed Richmond College Galle for a modest 152 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which commenced at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.

However Richmond College fought back well on the field as they restricted the powerful Ananda batting line up to 132 for 6 with Dananjaya de Silva (4 for 59) causing most of the damage.

Richmond: 152 (S. Hasaru 20, M. Sandaruwan 26, K. Chamara 50, S. Perera 6 for 32, H. Wimaladharma 2 for 24).

Ananda: 132 for 6 (H. Wimaladharma 19, D. Madushan 31, I. Samarasinghe 20, T. Samarakoon 26 n.o, D. de Silva 4 for 59, S. Dissanayake 2 for 31). CD
