Moratu Vidyalaya are in the box seat in their inter-school under-19 tournament cricket match played against Kalutara Vidyalaya and worked off at Moratuwa.

Vidyalians made 201 runs with Ishan Peiris scoring 83 runs including 14 boundaries and four sixes and had a third wicket partnership of 114 runs with Sanka Ramesh who made 41 runs.

At the end of day one visitors were struggling at 84 for 8 with Kalhara Peiris doing the damage with 5 for 32.
