'Overwhelming happiness'

With the winning of a gold medal for boxing in the 19th Commonwealth Games by Manju Wanniarachchi it has brought prestige to Sri Lanka, people of Kandy, students and old boys of Vidyartha College where Manjula had his first lesson in boxing expressed their overwhelming happiness by lighting crackers yesterday (13).

Lenia Clothing an institute attached to Mas Holdings had made arrangements for the people to watch the finals of the boxing live on a wide screen in front of the Kandy Central Market.
