Solidarity event in Mexico

Mexico: An evening to remember the 43rd annive-rsary of the murder of Cuban-Argentine revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara marked the end of a three-day Cuba solidarity event organized by activists in the Mexican capital.

A poetry recital and performances by young singer-songwriters who follow Cuban protest song made it a pleasant evening, which featured the presence of Cuban Ambassador Manuel Aguilera and leaders of the Mexican solidarity movement.

The Hugo Arguelles Cultural Forum of Coyoacán, located on the outskirts of the capital, was the venue for a screening of the documentary “San Ernesto de la Higuera,” presented by poet Waldo Leiva, cultural attaché of the Cuban embassy.
