Men's and Women's VB finals October 17

The finals of the 26th Youth Services and Rupavahini Volleyball tournament (Men & Women) will be held on October 17 at 6 p.m at the National Youth Centre Indoor Stadium under the patronage of the Youth Affairs Minister Dallus Alahapperuma.

52 Men's teams and 32 women's teams took part in the tournament.

The Air Force and Sri Lanka Navy Men's teams qualified for the finals. Youth Service's and Kurunegala Keshuvaline Women's teams qualified for the finals.

Cash prizes and awards

1. Champions men and women Rs 150,000 each, 2. Rs 100,000 each for the 2nd places, 3. Rs 50,000 each for the 3rd places and Rs 25,000 for 4th places.

The individual prizes are the best player (men and women) Rs 25,000 each.

Best dasher (men and women) Rs 25,000 each and the best setter Rs 25,000 each.

The Deputy Youth Affairs Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage. President of Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation Dilhan Perera, Chairman Rupavahini Corporation Sarath Kongahage and Chairman and Director General National Youth Services Lalith Piyum Perera will also grace the occasion.
