New People's Bank CEO/GM

H. S. Dharmasiri has been appointed as the CEO/GM of People's Bank.

Dharmasiri joined People's Bank as a Management Trainee, having obtained both a first class BA Hons degree in Economics as well as a B. Phil degree with a first class from the Colombo University. He has served the Bank in various capacities varying from the Branch Manager, to Assistant Regional Manager and Chief Manager before serving as one of the Senior Deputy General Managers of the bank prior to this promotion.

During his tenure he has acquired many professional qualifications including an AIB and also a diploma in Bank Management from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL). At present he is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers (FIB) of Sri Lanka.
