Disciplinary action on beach volleyballer

The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation has decided to take disciplinary action against National beach volleyball player, Leena Sandamalee for violating the code of conduct applicable to National Beach Volleyball players.

According to the rules stipulated by the Beach Volleyball Association national Beach Volleyball players are not permitted to participate at Indoor tournaments. Sandamalee has violated this rule and has taken part in the Rupavahini Trophy Volleyball Tournament representing the MAS Casualine team.

The MAS Casualine team too will be penalized as they too have gone against the agreement. MAS Casualine after giving a written submission to this effect stating that the particular player will not be used for Indoor tournaments but violated the rule and are subject to punishment according to the SLVBF.
