Police told to arrest conman

Nugegoda Magistrate and Additional District Judge Rohana Anura Kumara Herath directed Mirihana Police to arrest the accused in a cheating case, who is absconding and to produce him in court when the case came up for hearing in the absence of the accused.

The magistrate and district judge also imposed a two year prison term on the accused and said the case had been proved by the prosecution beyond doubt.

Accused Diluk Francis Fernando of Gothatuwa was indicted for having cheated D. Lasantha Kumara de Soysa for Rs. 400,000 promising him employment in Korea.
