Sri Lanka needs to adopt strategies to drive the country to success
said Defence Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. He was speaking at
a presentation on “Economic Management : Lessons from the war” at the
Sri Lanka Central Bank 60th Anniversary Oration Series which was held at
Central Bank Banking Studies Centre yesterday.
He said starting from the smallest unit to the most important
institution we could adopt the strategies to drive the country to
victory. As we won the brutal war that drew country backwards we could
also win the economic war. According to the Defence Secretary the
victory was possible due to good leadership from top to bottom, clear
vision, firm decisions, a clear target, discipline, motivation, immense
dedication, determination of victory, providing necessary funding,
creating a single mindset for all Sri Lankans, recruiting enough human
resources and many other factors.
In the same way the entire country can create a better Sri Lanka if
we work according to a strategic plan as we did during the humanitarian
operation, he said.
