Attempt to set up Guinness record

Pradeep Saman Udugamasooriya, a former Army Commando is on a quest to bring fame and fortune to the nation via a Guinness World Record. He is currently undertaking a triathlon which encompasses running, climbing and swimming around the country.

He has received blessings from the President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the patronage of the Sports Ministry. Pradeep Saman Udugamasooriya, who started his attempt on September 2 at 6 a.m. Galle Face, and will cover the coastline within 40 days.
