The first restaurant, Akasa Kade, on the rooftop, soon grew in
popularity, catering to local and international taste buds looking for a
Sri Lankan dining experience. The former Akasa Kade experienced staff
run this restaurant at Seylan Towers.
Raja Bojun is synonymous with incredibly delicious, authentic Sri
Lankan food served piping hot to delighted guests relaxing amidst the
warmth and ambiance of this popular restaurant facing the Indian ocean.
Guests can sit back, relax while watching the rolling waves of the
ocean. "Every year we have participated in Spice Food Festival which is
organized by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board. We are the one and only
restaurant participating in Sri Lankan authentic food for it," the
management said.
Local favourites like aappa (hoppers), indi-aappa (string hoppers)
and kottu are in high demand and one can find it laid out at every meal.
Meat curries and rice dishes make up the main course, while vegetables
find their way to the buffet wagon as curries and salads. Laid out in
buffet style, or a sumptuous a-la-carte menu, patrons are welcomed to
the restaurant by the mouth-watering aromas of Sri Lankan specialties.
