U-15 Prima Champions Cup launched

The Prima Group, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Cricket, has made
all arrangements to commence the Prima Champions Cup 2010 Under 15
Inter-District and Inter Provincial Tournaments.

The launching ceremony for this tournament was held at the SLC
headquarters in Maitland Place, yesterday with the participation of all
senior officials from SLC and Prima Group.
Group General Manager, Prima Group-Sri Lanka Tan Beng Chuan, in a
message said that it is their great pleasure to sponsor this Under 15
Cricket Tournament for the 4th successive year.
"As we recognize the need to encourage and harness young cricketing
talent we are happy to announce that this partnership with SLC will
continue until 2012 and help young cricketers to become excellent
National Level Players".
This tournament is a vital part of the cricketing calendar of SLC as
this contributes to the selection process of Junior National Cricket
teams.
Speaking at this occasion Sajith Gunaratne, Senior Business Manager
and Senior Marketing Manager Prima Group said that their commitment to
develop junior cricket in Sri Lanka will go beyond this tournament.
"As always 'Prima' will provide the teams with total nutrition and
cricket gear while all teams will receive professional guidance from SLC
coaches, thus ensuring all teams compete equally".
"With the help of SLC, we have conducted over 20 coaching camps
during the last three years for under 13 and under 15 cricketers and
will continue in the coming years".
Prima Champions Cup Under 15 District and Provincial Cricket
tournaments will undoubtedly help the young cricketers to gain their
confidence and experience in the coming years. |
