Bara Avi at Elphinstone

Sunil Sri's stage play Bara Avi will be conducting its 100th show at the Elphinstone theatre with six performances from September 26 to 28 at 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

Public Management Reforms Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Environment Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa will grace the occasion.

All the artistes who have contributed to the success of the play will also be felicitated at the event.

Bara Avi is based on environmental destruction. Susila Kottege, Rajitha Hiran, Nandana Hettiarachchi, Chathura Perera, Shantha Priyadharshana, Romesh Sanjaya, Chinthaka Pathirana and others make up the cast. The music is by Tissasiri Perera, Lucky Deva and Nihal Fernando. Gamini Costa is the make up artist. Tissa Weerawardena is in charge of the stage setting. It is produced by Colvin Rajapaksa.
