The Story of the Major Tradition by Rajith Keerthi Tennakoon is an
attempt to chronicle the early history of the United National Party
which played a fundamental role in shaping post independent Sri Lanka.
The book offers a thorough, well documented account of Sri Lanka's
largest political party which governed the country for over 30 years in
the post-independent period.
The website www.unplanka.com, which comprises of all the reference
material used for the book, will be launched. This is the first time in
Sri Lanka that readers will be able to access the documents which is
referred to in a research publication.
