Easy for Vidyartha

Vidyartha College, Kandy opened their inter-school cricket season
with an outright win when they beat Sri Devananda Vidayalaya,
Ambalangoda by nine wickets at Police grounds, Kandy yesterday.
Vidyartha College were set a victory target of 89 in 12 overs and
they made 92 for 1 with two overs to spare.
Ushan Wickremasinghe made an aggressive 47 not out with 2 fours and 4
sixes off 37 balls to guide them to victory. He was supported by
Niluksha Galapitige (28 not out) and this pair put on 60 runs in an
unbroken stand for the second wicket.
In reply to Sri Devananda's first innings total of 187, Vidyartha
College were not in a good way at 88 for 5 at the end of first day's
play.
