Police are investigating two broad day light armed gang robberies in Piliyandala last week.

Two armed youth broke into a jewellery shop and robbed Rs two million worth jewellery threatening the employees.

They fled in a motor cycle with the loot.

Meanwhile, at Miriswatte, two armed youth stole, Rs 670,000 by threatening employees at a medical stores. They too fled in a motor cycle.
