Bogus soldier nabbed

A teenager from Urmilathoattem, Cheppamkulam was arrested for robbing money and jewellery from people pretending be a soldier.

Vavuniya police detained the suspect aged 19 on Court orders.

Investigations are continuing.

Meanwhile, during a search operation conducted by Vavunathivu Special Task Force officers found a bomb weighing one and a half kilograms and a live hand grenade hidden in the hollow of a banyan tree.
