Help her get artificial hand

Shalika Deepanjali Rajapaksa , a girl studying in Grade Six at
Kuliyapitiya Central College had lost her right hand in an accident,
received part of the money to get an artificial hand from a youth
working in Italy. The youth, Nandana Prasad Wijesinghe of Kongolla,
Kithaluwa, Kuliyapitiya has provided Rs 108,600 to Shalika.
Shalika is a child artiste attached to the Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation. She had got through her Grade five scholarship examination
as well.
She had appealed to the Aroggya Foundation for the Disabled for an
artificial hand. The Foundation’s Director Ven Unapane Ariyadhamma Thera
uploaded the news in their website, which resulted in finding the
donation.
The estimated cost for the artificial hand is Rs. 234,000. The girl’s
parents were also badly injured in the same accident, are still
recovering. Shalika seeks public assistance to raise the balance money
to buy her an artificial hand.
