Book launch
  The
latest edition of Sambudu Siritha, written by the late Dr K D P
Wickremasinghe, will be launched at Kuppiyawatte Jayasekararama Vihara,
Colombo 10 on September 11 at 4 p.m.
The book will be presented to Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thera.
After the book launch he will deliver a Dhamma Desana.
Sambudu Siritha is a Dayawansa Jayakody publication.
Ven. Kurunegoda Piyathissa Nayake Thera's latest book on Buddhism
titled Banakatha Saha Janakatha was launched at the New York Buddhist
Vihara, USA on September 2.
Sergeant's mother-in-law for Prisoner's Day

Sando Harris' Sergeant's mother-in-law will be staged at the Welikada
Prison, Colombo, Magazine prison, C R P prison and Women's prison from
September 7 to 10 to commemorate Prisoner's Day. Organised by the
Colombo Welfare Society the drama stars Sando Harris, Chanchala
Warnasooriya, Shiromi Fernando, Udaya Thalpawila, Milinda Perera,
Padmasiri Gamage and others.
Sakura at Elphinstone

Sarath Dikkumbura's latest stage drama, Sakura will go on boards the
Elphinstone theatre on September 11 at 6.30 p.m.
The play is based on artistic creation, The Marriage. Music is by
Shelton Mihindukulasooriya.
Lal Tilakaratne is the choreographer. It is sponsored by the Nalaka
Perera Foundation.

together with Theekshana Ranga Academy of Dance presents Shiva Ranga
2010 a dancing recital at John de Silva Memorial Hall on September 12 at
6 p.m.
Simple Tamil
Prof. J B Disanayaka will launch Simple Tamil, a 184 page book with
colourful illustrations at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute on
September 13 at 4 p.m.
The event is organised by Citizens Development Business Finance
Limited together with Sumathi Publishers.
