Attack on students:

Fifteen suspects arrested

Katunayake Police yesterday arrested 15 suspects who were involved in the attack on students of the Technological Engineering Institute at Katunayake.

According to Police spokesman SP Prishatha Jayakody, the suspects were remanded and the identification parade would be held later.

SP Jayakody said two students of the institute died when their motorcycle crashed into a train and they have not been attacked by the suspects.

However, students of the institute said the deceased students were trying to escape in fear of attack unleashed by the suspects.

The deceased have been identified as T Charith Saranga Weerasinghe of Kegalle and Kasun Milinda Jagoda of Kekirawa.
