MphasiS moves to Colombo

Opens global delivery centre:

MphasiS opened their global delivery centre in Colombo yesterday. Sri Lanka’s Information Technology (IT) industry is playing a proactive role to build the sector and benchmark it in the world, MphasiS CEO Ganesh Ayyar said.

IBSL gets tough on errant brokers

The Insurance Board of Sri Lanka (IBSL) has decided to take stern action against errant insurance brokers if they do not submit insurance premium collected from policyholders to the relevant insurance companies within two weeks. A senior IBSL official said a special supervision team of IBSL is conducting investigations to make certain that this process is done accurately.

Export crops have fared well this year - Planters’ Society President

The steady increase in exports of value added tea will boost the country’s export earnings, newly elected Ceylon Planters’ Society President Sanjaya Dissanayake said. Speaking at the 74th Annual General Meeting he said there is a lot of competition from other tea producing countries.
