Good demand for AAA registered drivers

There is a growing demand for Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAA)
registered drivers in Colombo and suburbs whose service is delivered as
a facility to motor traders who have become members of the Automobile
Association of Ceylon.

A person becoming a member of the Automobile Association as well as
the current members can equally utilise the new service of the
registered driver facility at the Association.
The same facility will be available for the members in Kandy, which
was set up three months back, The Automobile Association of Ceylon,
President, Dhammika Attygalle told Daily News Business.
“Twenty five drivers have registered with the Automobile Association
as freelance drivers and we expect to increase the number according to
the demand from Colombo and suburbs,” he said.
The Automobile Association issues the certification on vehicle
valuation and condition. All forms of vehicle valuations and
conditioning is recognized by the leasing companies, Government
organizations and banks.
“The Association inaugurated the facility of valuation and
conditioning from January this year and we have partnered with Douglas
and Sons to promote interior vacuuming and exterior washing facilities
for a reasonable price,” Attygalle said.
There are round 25 garages which is equipped with this facility and
the Association expects to increase the number of garages to 100
covering the areas such as the North and the East.
There are around 8,000 members in the Automobile Association of
Ceylon currently and a qualified engineer will be available to provide
this service. |
