Saudi Embassy states...

The Media Officer of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Sri Lanka has cast doubts about certain news reports published in Sri Lankan newspapers regarding a housemaid who has accused her Saudi employer, after returning to Sri Lanka of driving solid materials into her body, while she worked in Saudi Arabia.

He says the important factor is that this housemaid cannot pass security checkpoints and sophisticated machines at the Riyadh and Colombo International Airports with these solid things inside her body.

The Media Officer assured that the Ambassador is giving his personal attention to this matter and he is in direct and continuing communication with officials External Affairs Ministry of Sri Lanka in this regard, reiterating the depth of the excellent mutual ties between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Sri Lanka.
