FARC to talk to UNASUR

Colombia: The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) expressed their disposition to explain their vision of the internal armed conflict to an assembly of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).

“Presidents, when you consider it opportune we are ready to present at a meeting of UNASUR our vision of the Colombian conflict”, states an open letter signed by the Secretariat of the Central General Staff of the FARC addressed to the regional organization.

The FARC assure that although the Colombian Government, stimulated by the illusion of a military victory and Washington’s interference, is not interested to dialogue with the insurgents who are prepared to find a political solution to the conflict. Bogota, Prensa Latina
