South Africa ‘A’ have it easy

Elegant middle order batsman Colin Ingram struck a splendid 85 with one six and nine boundaries to help South Africa ‘A’ beat Pakistan ‘A’ by six wickets in the Tri Nation tournament opening match worked off at the SSC ground in Maitland Place yesterday. Pakistan ‘A’: 219 for 9 in 50 overs (Asad Shafia 80, Aamer Sajjad 77, Hamad Azam 25, V. D. Philander 3 for 42, J. Theron 4 for 47).

South Africa ‘A’: 220 for 4 in 45.4 overs (M. van Wyk 33, C. A. Ingram 85, R. R. Rossouw 22, D. Elgar 47 n.o).
