Seasoned heroin seller remanded

Matara Chief Magistrate Udesh Ranatunga ordered to remand a woman who was convicted three times for selling heroin, for possessing heroin till August 27. Matara Police Vice Squad producing the suspect, resident of Walpola, Matara before the Court, said the suspect has three previous convictions for selling heroin and her husband too is undergoing a prison term convicted for selling heroin.

The Matara Chief Magistrate imposed a Rs 27,000 fine on a suspect who allegedly possessed 19,500 ml of illicit liquor “Seeni Karignghan”. R K Sunil, resident of Maliduwa, Akuressa was produced before the Court by Akuressa Police.
