Ceremony to mark Thera’s death anniversary

The ceremony to mark the 29th death anniversary of Ven Henpitagedara Gnanaseeha Thera will be held at the Dematagoda Sri Gnanaseeha Temple under the patronage of the Prime Minister DM Jayaratne tomorrow.

Ven Henpitagedera Gnanaseeha Thera was a founder-member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). He was the main advisor for developing and protecting the SLFP.

Ven Thera is the author of 45 dhamma books and five of his books will be re-launched at the commemoration ceremony.

The commemoration ceremony and the book launch ceremony will be held under the auspices of Western Province Governor Alavi Mowlana.
