Qatar, Lanka sign MoU
To regulate air traffic:
Qatar and Sri Lanka signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on
bilateral air service recently.
The air service agreement was signed by Qatar Civil Aviation
Authority Chairman Abdul Aziz Al Noaimi and the Sri Lanka Ports and
Aviation Ministry Secretary KVPR de Silva.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the Qatar Airways Chief
Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.
The two parties agreed to regulate air traffic between the two
countries with regard to the latest updates of the ICAO.
Qatar Airways currently operates three daily flights to Sri Lanka
which is expected to increase as per the MoU.
The agreement came as to lift the difficulties on flight operations
and to facilitate the movement of passengers and cargo among two
countries.
