Speaker to rule on Sarath Fonseka's breach of privilege

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa told Parliament yesterday that he would give a ruling today (5) on the privilege issue raised by DNA MP General Sarath Fonseka that he had been prevented from attending the Consultative Committee meetings in Parliament.

The Speaker gave the assurance after General Sarath Fonseka raised a privilege issue yesterday afternoon alleging he was being prevented from attending the Committee meetings despite a Court directive to allow him to come to Parliament.
