KaleidoSource launches new BPO certification course
KaleidoSource, a BPO enterprise specializing in Finance and
Accountancy outsourcing, together with CIMA Sri Lanka introduced a BPO
Work Readiness Certification Course called the Finance Accounting
Outsourcing Core Competency Development (FAOCCD).
This applied training program is designed to help future talent and
job seekers gain ready- to- apply skills in the Finance and Accounting
domain of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in Sri Lanka.
A first in Sri Lanka, this program targets the employable student and
helps future employers to meet the demand and expectations of the
burgeoning industry.
The training program is designed to reduce induction training
duration, thus reducing training costs and shortening the learning
curves of employees.
The program also focuses on arming the students with knowledge for
and an appreciation about the industry with the objective of increasing
a ready-to-market sustainable resource pool for the industry.
Additionally, it will help the industry build human capital and
capabilities to meet the growing needs for Finance and Accounting
Outsourcing services in Sri Lanka.
"Our objective of launching this training is in line with our own
vision and compliments the objectives of the Sri Lankan Government to
promote Sri Lanka as a center for excellence for Financing and
Accounting Outsourcing," KaleidoSource CEO Dinesh Wickremanayake said.
Leveraging the Finance Accounting Outsourcing Core Competency
Development (FAOCCD) with the existing curriculum at CIMA, will help arm
future Finance and Accountancy students with the go-to-market skills
which will enable them to better their chances in this sector.
"With a presence of over 40 years in Sri Lanka, CIMA Sri Lanka is the
biggest market outside of the UK," CIMA Regional Director Bradley
Emerson said. "We count for over 30 percent of the non-UK market." CIMA
is the next generation qualification and is recognized as one of the
main contributors to the job market, locally and internationally," he
said.
