Brilliant century by Amith

A brilliant knock of 107 with 20 fours off 184 balls by Sri Rahula College schoolboy Amith Tillekaratne helped Matale Cricket Club to score their third successive win when they beat Kurunegala Youths Cricket Club on their first innings in their Sri Lanka Cricket's Under 23 match concluded at the Aluwihare stadium in Matale on Sunday.

Left handed Amith Tillekaratne batted elegantly and was involved in good start of 107 for the third wicket with another former Sri Rahula College cricketer Madhushan Bototage who made 63 with 8 fours. Matale CC 297 all out in 64.1 overs (Amith Tillekaratne 107, Madhushan Botatage 63, Akila Weerasinghe 32, Amila Kangararachchi 22, Chathura Kumarasiri 25, Dilshan Dhanushka 3 for 76, Vajira Kumara 5 for 60) and 252 for 6 wickets in 52 overs (Chathura Kumarasiri 61 not out, Pradeep Samarasinghe 50, Amila Rukshantha 47, Amila Kangarachchi 27, Amith Tillekaratne 29, Madumal Jayaratne 3 for 25, Pradeep Asith 3 for 62)

Kurunegala Youths CC 210 all out in 67.2 (Charith Nawaratne 32, Dilshan Dhanushka 31, H. Dharmasiri 27, Ajith Pradeep 20, Shaveendra Amaradasa 35, Amith Tillekaratne 2 for 25, Pradeep Samarasinghe 3 for 70)
