POETRY
I am a crow
I am a bird like any other
But not ugly as some bother
I belong tot he family of Corvidae
But not reared by anybody
My kith and kin are all over
From north polar to south polar
My numbers have topped the list
My species are not a retreat
I am black in colour which most don't like
But harmless unlike humans who resemble me like
I share anything with all my flock
Unlike the humans who eat it en bloc
I am discarded saying ugly and dark
But humans too are there who match this remark
They are not discarded because of power and wealth
Pity only I ma dismissed due to this wrath
I am also a bird like parrot and lark
But they are luminous and colourful in the dark
I don't gallivant in the dark
Unlike men and women who prefer the dark
I may not be liked by human beings
But this does not hamper my daily routine
I don't worry any soul for bread and butter
But earn it with my sweat and vigour

Only One Moon for All
Babies like very much the moon
Calling "Ambilimama"
Asking "Kiripeni" and
Fond to play with the rabbit
Young lovers in the moon light
Love talks are at night
Comparing their faces
Make poems in "Savumya Sanda Kirane"
In the old age
Body and mind also weak
What "Poya" is today?
They calculate looking at moon
