No chance to 'Sir with Love'

The Zonal Education Director of Wattegama has ordered a school principal to put a halt to a move to have students of his school contribute Rs 1,000 each to buy a motor vehicle for a former principal as a gift on his transfer to another school.

After the matter was published in the media a group from the Zonal Education Director's office had visited the school and recorded statements in this connection.

The Zonal Education Director had also asked the principal to return the money collected from the students.
