Registration of voters lists - act fast

Persons seeking registration in voters lists this year should enter their places of residence as at June 1, 2009 on cage 7 of the relevant form. Those who had changed residence before this date need not submit any Grama Niladhari report regarding the change of residence to the present Grama Niladhari who is acting as the voter animators, Additional Commissioner General of Elections P. M. Siriwardena said in a press release yesterday.

The release said it is the duty of the chief occupants in households to perfect the voters list application forms and duly hand them over to the Grama Niladhari who is the animator.

Distribution of application forms is still under way.
