Dengue breeder fined Rs 10,000

Mount Lavinia Additional Magistrate Ruchira Weliwatta fined a dengue breeder Rs. 10,000 yesterday.

The National Livestock Development Board official who had failed to destroy dengue breeding places in his residence was produced before Magistrate Weliwatta by Public Health Inspectors of Dehiwela-Mount Lavinia Municipality.

The official had not drained the water that had accumulated on the concrete slab. The house is being constructed on Borupana road, Ratmalana.
