UN has no right to interfere in our internal matters - Sajith Premadasa MP

UNP MP Sajith Premadasa suggested in Parliament that Minister G L Peiris should educate his colleagues over the matters of external affairs. His own party members do not understand how to deal with them.

Sajith
Premadasa

“We, in the party are vehemently against the external forces that endanger the sovereignty, integrity and independence of the country. Achievements of past should be protected at present as well as in the future.

“However, to go a long journey we must win the world opinion in our favour. But still the international community is working against us. Are we helping our international friends, that helped us in our matters ?

“The actions of Ban Ki-Moon to appoint a special committee is a wanton act of his own. In the UN policies it is clearly stated that it should not intrude into the matters of an another country. I strongly reject the act of the UN, Secretary General.”
