The Enemies Invaded

With fury marched all the enemies
But none to stop their cruelties;
Encroached the towns and village alike
To wreak devastation with delight.

Blast of guns and bombs fearfully heard
And made the folks to huddle in herd
Prayed in silence and left the houses,
Sought God's grace to solve their grievance.

Carried the babes in arms the mothers;
The belonging on heads of fathers,
Who in torso cradled their kids
To save them all from Nature's wile deeds.

Withered old grandmas with anguished face
And wrinkled old grandpas seek God's fine grace.
Feebly left the abode, seeking peace,
Whose humble plea God has to appease.

'Green light' given to the enemies
Who marched along with effortless ease;
Houses, bridges, forest in one blow
Havocked by the mighty force of the foe.

None to question the enemy's march,
No power to stop this avalanche.
'Country's Force' fled from the enemy
Whose vicious force stilled all and sundry.

Who gave the 'Green light'? Mother Nature.
Blast of guns was none but the 'Thunder',
The invading enemy was the 'Flood' -
That vanquished all the earthly forces;
Not the crown nor scientist could control.

The Crush

I was upstairs, looking forever at her there in the building tall,
A good many remained, not only her and me, up in the same hall;
To accost her, I wanted so badly, and that being my heart's goal,
I mulled over some crafty means to satiate the desire of my soul.

She was so pretty, she looked so fair with eyes far brighter than light,
How sweet, how splendid, I wondered, what a divine sight!
Her voice, I guessed, to my ears must be so much sweeter than honey;
She looked far more innocent than a lamb or like a new-born bunny.

Watching for her slightest move, I resolved to bide my time,
For it pays to calculate well even with intentions sublime,
When I saw her descend the staircase, a wise thought struck me,
So I hurried downstairs, closely following her, my move no one could see.

Out of the corridor, down on to the compound, slowly my angel walked.
Would she smile or would she frown at me? Suspense my senses choked.
Soon I overtook her, smiled gingerly, and went on to the break the ice,
When she replied, 'How do you do?' I thought she was perfectly nice.

So well, so vividly, do I remember how I first met my crush,
That I know, on spur of the moment, things I did rush,
Still I have many a crush like this and it's barely a mystery,
For, though it teaches people in earnest, few seem to learn from history!

Life's precious moments ...

Life is precious, so is gold
The morning breeze is very cold
Life's worth living whatever the outcome be
For Hope springs eternal in the human breast, your see!

Precious are all the sweetest things we behold
Tantalizing to the eye is the radiance they unfold
It's our breath that keeps us ticking up to the every end
Unborn tomorrow, Dead yesterday, Today is sweet, my friend!

The Angel in my life

Thank you my dear little angel
Giving such a feeling for a
Sterile person like me
You are the gift
Of a virtuous deed
I proclaim loudly
That you are mine alone
I experience a strange feeling
From you that is mysterious
That I cannot unfold

Seeing your face blossoming
Makes me so blue
Do you know why
Just a little time
You've given to be with you
Hugging you tenderly
Gives me extreme joy
Through your petals
Fall nectar on me that
Delights and driven me to heaven
The gigling gentle sound
You make my heart blossom
The brightest stars are there
To shine because of your
Scintillating smile
It makes them light dimly
Your winning babble fascinate me most
Your pleasant person
Makes world shine bright
The nearness of you may not
Last long, but the thought of you
Is ever lasting.

Amicable Settlement

Baby babblers,
Three in number
Fell from their nest,
Due to the furtive attempt
Of a rattle-snake,
To have a bacchanal meal
On the young birds

Among the children
Ran the news
Swifter than the lightening
Who immediately turned-up
To rescue the babies.

They brought a long stick
With a kerosene soaked rag,
Tied to its narrow end.
One child shouted:
"Don't make the meat of one
A poison to another:
Just let the smell of kerosene
Keep the enemy away!"
And the parties agreed

Meanwhile a strong gang
Of babblers, with their shrilly
Babbling with the swift and rapid
Flapping of the wings while roosting on the ground
Kept the enemy at bay.

With no great loss to the nature
Babblers, the rattle-snake and children
Settled the strife amicably.

Moving on

Take me back to the day I was born
Huddled close to my mother
Never alone.
The sweet taste of her milk
Where has it gone?
Where is my mother
Where has she gone?
Oh! Mother
Why did you leave me
And left me alone?

Where is my father
When I need him so much now?
Oh! Father
I can still remember
How you threw me up
And caught me tight
With a broad smile.
I was frightened
But it was such a delight.
Now I know it was warmth
And love
That said
You are mine
With pride.
Oh! Father
Where did you go
Leaving me alone?

Oh! my dearest love
Who won my heart
And stood by me
For all the world to see.
You held my hand
And took the vows
Never to leave me.
Oh! Dearest darling
Tell me
Why did you leave me
When I need you
More than ever before?

Where is my baby
Whose tiny face I saw
The day she was born?
When you wrinkled up
Your tiny face
And cried,
Tears rolled down my eyes.
I knew then
You are mine
And I am yours
It was love at first sight.
Oh! My Dearest Baby
Where has that love gone?

Good and bad times are all gone
I am old and alone.
I live in a house
Not in a home.
It's only a shelter
From sun and rain.
Time is near
When I have to move on
Leaving nothing
But the silence
That follows
At the end of a sad song.

Tells the vanity

Jasmine while
Salver shape
Climbing shrub
fragrance sweet
Petals smooth
Nectar trove
What a flower

Offers to the Lord
With both hands
Lasts short
Fades soon
Tells the vanity
Nature thus

I am not mine

Once a dreamer
With a chase,
To find strength
To realize all dreams
To show the world
Who I am!
But found myself
Still on the journey -
The journey of life
I am not me
And ......
I am not mine either!
