Mohamed Niyaz Moulavi dies

Presidential Advisor on Muslim Affairs Mohamed Niyaz Moulavi passed away yesterday. He was 57 years at the time of death.

His remains were lying at Ihasaniyya Arabic College, Peer Saibo Street, Colombo 12.

Janaza took place last night at the Maligawatte burial grounds.

Prayers were held at the Colombo Grand Mosque.

The body was flown to Colombo on President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s instructions.
