Best Quality Circle Award for Dambulla DS

The Dambulla Divisional Secretariat won the Best Quality Circle Award
for the State sector at the National Quality Circle Awards Ceremony
organized by the National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) held at the
BMICH Wednesday.
The awards ceremony was held under the patronage of Labour Relation
and Productivity Promotion Minister Gamini Lokuge and Deputy Minister
Jagath Balasuriya.
The Best Quality Circle Award for School sector is won by Mahanama
Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy and the Best Quality Circle award for the
private sector was presented to the Associated CEAT Co. Ltd. The
selection of winners had been made through a series of selection stages
under the direct supervision of the NPS.
The main objective of this competition is to promote an appropriate
strategy to the respective organization through a suitable quality
circle and to introduce innovative quality circle tools for the service
or production process.
