UN Expert Panel on Sri Lanka:

Conspiratorial interference into country’s sovereignty - MEP

The MEP alerts the Patriotic Citizens of this country that the appointment of a special Panel of “experts” Purportedly to investigate and report to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon constitutes a Conspiratorial interference making inroads into the sovereignty freedom, independence and unitary state of Sri Lanka, a Mahajana Eksath Peramuna (MEP) release states.

“Sri Lanka has taken concrete and meaningful steps to ensure the protection of human rights. The Human Rights Committee of the UN has already made an appreciative evaluation in this regard. “Notwithstanding these circumstances the cemented efforts of Western authoritarianism to discredit Sri Lanka and this despicable Modus Operandi adopted on behalf of Force of reaction have to be roundly condemned and deplored.

“We have clearly and unreservedly identified that this conduct is a studied device calculated and deliberately contrived against countries that have wrested their freedom from the imperialist and Colonial forces. It should be the top priority to defeat this conspiracy. We appeal to all friendly nations to rally round and unite towards this objective.

“Though this proud and much hallowed nation is considerably small in its land mass it is indelibly written in letters of Gold that this the only country to have exterminated divisive brutal savage terrorism under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Some countries fail to appreciate this accomplished fact.

“We have to condemn with contempt the present conduct of these countries that supplied funds, weapons and other forms of assistance to the terrorists.

“Furthermore, we pointedly demand from this Secretary General Ban Ki-moon the immediate recall of this co-called special investigating committee appointed to “advise”, said Secretary General, the release adds.
