Bolivia expects USAID change of attitude
Bolivia: The Bolivian Government said it expects a change of attitude
from the United Status Agency for International Development (USAID),
accused of interference in Bolivia.
Bolivian pro tempore President Alvaro Garcia, now substituting Evo
Morales who is attending the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our
America (ALBA) Summit , denied that the Bolivia Government has taken a
decision to expel USAID from the Bolivian territory.
"We are expecting a change of attitude but no decision has been taken
yet," he said.
Garcia ratified the governmental links with USAID stopped in 2008
when the US Ambassador at that time, Philip Goldberg, was expelled from
Bolivia.
"Any collaboration should be from one country to the other, no
politics, no ideology, or judicial," said Garcia. Governmental sectors
and social organizations have insisted in their accusations on USAID.
