Youth Sports Festival on June 26

The Colombo District Youth Sports festival of the National Youth Sports Festival 2010 will be held on June 26 at the Central School grounds, Piliyandala from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The National Youth Sports festival is to be conducted in three stages Provincial, District and National levels.

There are 40 events included in the festival over 20 and under 20.

More than five hundred sportsmen and sportswomen will take part in the events.

The 1st and 2nd places winners will be qualified for the all island National Youth Sports Festival 2010 to be conducted in September 2010.

The chief guest invited for the prize giving ceremony at the Colombo district youth sports festival is Minister Gamini Lokuge.

The Chairman and Director General of the National Youth Services Council also will grace this occasion.
