Japan takes on AMF Presidency

Hermawan Karthajaya who has co-authored several books with Prof.
Philip Kotler was made an Honourary Fellow of the Sri Lanka Institute of
Marketing at the recent board meeting of the Asian Marketing Federation
(AMF) in Bali, Indonesia in appreciation for his outstanding
contribution to marketing.
Karthajaya said that he was deeply honoured and happy at being made
an Honorary Fellow of SLIM. Currently President of the World Marketing
Association, Karthajaya is an eminent author and a public speaker in
marketing studies.
Together with Prof. Philip Kotler he has co-authored "Re positioning
Asia: From Bubble to a Sustainable Economy", "Rethinking Marketing:
Sustainable Enterprise in Asia" and "Attracting Investors". He has also
co-authored "Marketing 3.0' with Prof. Kotler which is a forthcoming
publication.
The Japan Marketing Association Chairman Takuya Goto was unanimously
elected as the AMF President for 2010/2011 while the Hong Kong and
Singapore Marketing Institutes Chairmen were elected Vice Presidents.
SLIM held the Presidency of the AMF in 2008 under the leadership of
Prof. K.U. Kamalgoda.
