Cuba condemns Israeli aggression
Cuba: The Association of Cuban-Arab Friendship and the Cuban
Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) condemned the persistent
policy of abuses and violations of the Israeli Government against the
Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement released Saturday in Havana, both organizations
condemned the Israeli military occupation that has killed many
Palestinians and demanded the immediate declaration of independence of
that State. “We also condemn the recent brutal Israeli aggression
against the solidarity mission with humanitarian aid for the Arab
people, action in which several people were killed and others injured”,
adds the text.
“This massacre once again demonstrates the reactionary nature of the
Tel Aviv regime and its disrespect for United Nations, which in 1967
agreed through the Security Council Resolution 242 to demand the
withdrawal of Israel from the newly occupied territories.”, recalls the
statement.
The text warns against the sweet words of US President Barack Obama,
whose Government hides its unconditional alignment with Israel, despite
the unanimous rejection worldwide.
