SLFP All Island Central Committee meeting today

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) All Island Central Committee will meet at Temple Trees today under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. On the occasion committee members will be made aware about the present and future activities of the SLFP. The Committee will present a memento to President Rajapaksa who today completes 40 years since he first took oaths as a Member of Parliament in 1970.

Possible changes to the party’s Constitution and the current developments in the country will also be discussed.

Swarna Sammana Awards will be presented to the top 10 candidates who received the highest percentage of votes at the recently concluded Parliamentary Election.

In addition, another 20 candidates who received the highest number of preferential votes will also be awarded Swarna Sammana Awards.
