Face lift to Viharamahadevi Park

In the wake of providing a facelift to the Colombo city, the Colombo Municipal Council has made arrangements to beautify the Viharamahadevi Park and Children’s Park coinciding with World Environment Day.

CMC City Chief Administrator Omar Kamil said people in the Colombo City and suburbs appreciate the work carried out by the CMC.

Coinciding with World Environmental Day, the CMC has improved facilities and given a face-lift to the Viharamahadevi Park and Children’s Park,” he said. He said new seats had been added to around 12 benches in the park by Watawala Plantations ltd yesterday while Standard Chartered Bank had provided with variety of flowering plants to the flower beds at the Viharamaha Devi Park.
