A group of businessmen from Chinese Taipei accompanied by the
President's Religious and Cultural Affairs International Advisor Ven. Dr
Bodhagama Chandima Thera were hosted by the BOI.
The 37-strong team was led by Sun Gala Enterprises President Wang Chu
Chin. The BOI briefed the delegation on Sri Lanka's business and
investment climate and investment opportunities, policies and
facilitation provided by the Board.
Media and Publicity Director Dilip S. Samarasinghe, Promotion
Director C. Ignatius, Promotion Deputy Director and Desk Officer for
China Kumudini Ratnaweera represented the BOI. Members of the delegation
expressed interest in starting projects in a variety of sectors such as
dairy, livestock development, cultivation of sugar cane, maize,
processing and value addition in the extraction of minerals, paper pulp
manufacture, ship bunkering services and educational projects.
